Nefertiti & American Eagle Join Forces with Columbia
Nefertiti (US 19) and American Eagle (US 21) are proud to join Columbia (US 16) to form 12 Meter Yacht Charters, the premier championship yacht charter company on the East Coast.
Nefertiti, the first twelve meter designed by Frederick “Ted” Hood for the 1962 Defender Trials is known to be steady and fast in strong winds. An experienced cruising yacht, she is has crossed the Atlantic, sailed the Mediterranean and was the flagship of Royal Hellenic Yacht Club for several years.
American Eagle, designed by Bill Luders for the 1964 America’s Cup Trials earned fame as a winning offshore ocean racer with Ted Turner as owner/skipper from 1969-1974 and Warren Brown from 1976-1987. Both yachts have been fixtures on the east coast charter scene for years, participating in numerous Regattas.
Available for private charters, ticketed sails and corporate teambuilding they are pleased to round out the championship fleet of 12 Meter Yacht Charters along with Columbia, winner of The America’s Cup in 1958.
